Black high low dress - styled many ways

Hi my beautiful Readers,

This time I have a slightly different post. I was eyeing this simple black high low dress for a couple of months now. I finally could get hold of it last month and ordered it online. This dress being plain black can be styled in numerous ways and the high low hem is to die for. It is such a great piece for dressing down or dressing up.

It has a high neckline with short sleeve. This dress is snug on my shoulders and very loose on the body. I am not a fan of the high neckline and the length of the sleeves, but love the length of the tail. The material is polyester, it is a very sheer material and has to be worn with a slip inside. Except for the sheerness the material looks good.

This dress can be worn by itself, paired with bright leggings, can be accessorised and also can be dressed up for parties. I have tried to style it in three different ways.

Summer Essentials : Long pleated dress

Hi All,

As summer kicks in, we are all in search for light comfortable clothing. Of course shorts and rompers are the best choice for summers, but these cannot be worn by everyone. Some may not be comfortable wearing short clothes, some may not have the right body for it and it is also not all age appropriate. But there are other alternatives which can suit everyone and are also super comfortable for the summers.

Maxi dresses and pallazos are the best choice for summers in India and are in trend this season. Today's post is on one of the summer essentials a long flowing maxi dress.

I had bought this dress from Mango for my Italy trip. I had planned to wear it on the beach, but Italy beaches were rocky and windy and we had to do a lot of ferry rides so I couldn't wear it there. We recently went to this beautiful bluebell forest, Bluebell forest where the bluebells bloom only for a couple of weeks in April and the forest is a treat for the eyes at this time. I planned to wear this dress for this forest and knew I could get some beautiful pictures :)

Royal Blue Skirt

Hi my lovely Readers,

In between my Italy outfits I thought of posting some other outfits which I had worn on different occasions in Belgium.

I had this black and white peplum top for a while now and I had bought it along with the maxi skirt worn here. This was actually a set, but i choose to pair it separately with different outfits. The top is made up of polyester material and has black velvet pattern on it.

This peplum top is different from the regular peplum top (like the one shown here) as this one has a high low pattern with a dipping hemline at the back. I like this pattern better than the regular one, this design along with giving a defined waist also gives a cute preppy look to the entire outfit. I think this kind of tops won't be suitable for the older ladies and the regular peplum would look good on all ages. The top has a zipper in the front and a very deep neckline.

What I wore in Italy 3

Hi Readers,

In this post I discuss on what I chose to wear for the trip to the Vatican City.

We have to be dressed conservatively while visiting the churches in the Vatican city, our shoulders and knees have to be covered or else we will not be allowed to enter the church. So I chose to wear this beautiful printed maxi skirt with a simple black top.

The skirt is made of polyester. It has an outer sheer material and an inner lining. It is long and flowing, very comfortable and feminine. What made me buy the skirt was the beautiful flower prints in black on white,  I thought it was perfect for the summer.

Bourjois Color Edition 24H Eyeshadow

Hi All,

I am reviewing an eyeshadow today. I am not a pro when it comes to makeup, but recently I have been addicted to makeup and have started to try different things on my face. Eventually, like other makeup lovers, I too can see makeup as an art. Your face being a canvas, you can let your imagination go wild and try different looks and see what suits you the best :)

After a long time I had gotten comfortable with lipsticks and now I know which shades look good on me and which ones I should be avoiding. I always wanted to try eyeshadows, but always felt it was not for us common girls and it is best left for the models or the people on tv, as I do feel that eyeshadows on a day to day life look over the top and can be avoided.

But I had picked a couple of bright coloured eyeshadows just to experiment. I had bought this beautiful shimmery navy blue coloured eyeshadow from Bourjois. This is one color which flatters all the skin tones and looks beautiful on dusky skin tones.

What I wore in Italy 2

Hello my dear readers,

Welcome to another post in 'what I wore in Italy' series. This time I am going to discuss about the outfit I wore to visit the Colosseum in Rome, Italy.

The weather was warm and I could opt for the most comfortable cloths. So I decided to wear my long maxi skirt with a flirty top.

I have been waiting to wear this skirt since I bought it in December last year, but due to the extremely cold weather of Belgium, I never really got a chance to wear it. So I was more than happy to be wearing it in Rome.
