The outfit of the day is an Aztec print top paired with palazzos. I have a lot of stuff in Aztec print, they are always easy to pair with and also look super classy.

This top of mine is a very recent purchase, got it just last weekend. The moment I saw it, I had the whole outfit ready in my mind.

Let's style that crop top

I am very excited about today's outfit as it is something I have never tried. The trend of crop top is not new, but styling it to suit your body type is not an easy game. I have always admired the girls who can carry a crop top with elegance and style. Girls with a petite frame can wear anything on this planet and look great. But for a healthier body type, a crop top has to be styled right for it to not look trashy.

Crop top is one of the trends I have stayed away from obviously because I don't have the perfect body to carry it. I am not skinny and have an unflattering mid riff. Crop tops have never looked good on me. The trick to make a crop top work on a not so skinny body is to show the least amount of skin. Wearing the crop top with high waisted bottoms are the safest bet.

Life is too short to be anything but happy!!

I am currently loving the palazzo trend and I am always in look out for a great pair. I like my palazzo to be very wide, wider the better.

NYX Soft Matte Lip cream : San Paulo

I am reviewing a nude lipstick today. I always stayed away from nude lipsticks as I could not decide if any nude shade would suit me. Most of the nude shades look washed out on my skin tone. For dusky skin tones, natural brown would be the nude shade, but I do not like brown lipsticks. I accidentally picked up this color which is by no means nude for my skin tone, still I make it work as a nude shade. Read on..

CLINIQUE Matte Plum Lipstick

Today I am reviewing a lipstick from Clinique. I am a matte lipstick lover and mostly you will find matte lipsticks in my collection. I had picked up a matte lipstick from Clinique in a purple plum shade.

What the product claims :-

Long-wearing formula keeps its just-applied look for hours. Non-drying, non-feathering. Full coverage, velvety, soft matte finish.

I will stop wearing black when they invent a darker color !!

How has your week started ? Mine is not going so well, but keeping the bad things aside, I am back with an outfit post and yet again an all black outfit :)

The main element of this outfit is the black crochet cape. As we are entering the fall season, I planned an outfit to suit the chilly yet not so cold weather.

This is a full length cape with three fourth sleeves. It is made of crochet and hence suitable to throw over any dress when it gets a little chilly. When it comes to lace or crochet material I tend to lean more towards the black ones over the white or cream, as I find the skin peeking through the dark colors, extremely sexy.

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick

As the very famous saying goes "Put on some red lipstick and live a little", every girl needs that perfect red lipstick in her stash and yes, I agree it is very difficult to find that perfect red lipstick. I like my reds to be bold and striking on the face and I have yet to find that striking red lipstick. But I have found 2 red lipsticks which are a great shade and not over powering. I have reviewed one of them already here, this was a matte red. I am reviewing another shade today and this one is also matte but moisturizing.

The shade I am reviewing today is a red lipstick from Chanel in the shade '38 LA FASCINANTE'.

Ethnic Wear : Anarkalis

How have you all been doing? I know I haven't posted anything since a long time now :( I am back in India and had been travelling extensively all this month. I visited Pune, Jaipur, Surat, Mumbai, Mangalore, all of these in a span of one month. Thanks to the Internet speed in India, I could not even think of posting anything in the little time I could squeeze out of my schedule. But now I am back in Pune and have all the time in the world for my blog, so you will be seeing posts frequently :)

As I was in India, I wanted to do some outfit posts on the beautiful Indian wears. I mostly wore churidars and did not really get any chance to wear saree, but I will try to add a post on saree as well. Lets see :)

Stripe it up

Let's talk about stripes in this post! Stripes are one pattern which can be tricky to wear. You might already know how stripes work on different body types. Horizontal stripes make you look broader and vertical stripes give you the illusion of looking taller and slimmer. But this also depends on the thickness of the stripes. The above logic works for visibly broader stripes.

You can always cheat with thinner stripes. If you are broader and like an outfit with horizontal stripes, check for the thickness of the stripes, you can safely go for it if the stripes are thin. I would suggest not to go for broad horizontal stripes if you do not want to look heavy.

Vertical stripes are always a great pick if you want to look taller. The stripes also frame your body to give an illusion that you are slimmer.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipstick : Melted Berry

Here is one more high end lipstick for review today. I have always wanted to try the Too Faced melted lipsticks. I tried them when in Switzerland but I didn't like the way it was too loud on my lips. But then, I had no idea what I was doing wrong. Later, when I read reviews about it, I got to know that these lipsticks should be allowed to dry. These lipsticks turn matt on drying and have to be applied in small quantities. This time when I was in Paris for my birthday, I again found the Too faced counter in the Sephora there and so I again thought of picking up one.

I wanted their Melted Ruby, but I wasn't sure if I could carry that loud red and opted for Melted Berry instead. Read on to know how did it fare :)

Long slit Maxi top

Here is a new outfit post !

I have styled a long blue slit maxi top here. 'Maxi dresses' have been in a trend for quite some time now, but the trend of 'Maxi tops with slits' has been in, since only this summer. They are flowy, comfy and stylish. They can be paired with jeans or shorts or leggings. But I would suggest to avoid leggings, so that the outfit doesn't look like an Indian Churidar :)

I decided to pair this top with shorts to be comfortable in the hot weather. The material of the top is light and stretchable, but it doesn't feel sticky on the body and is apt for the hot weather. I bought this top from the local markets of Brussels. 

MAC Lipstick : Heroine

I am back after a gap of one week. It was my birthday week, so I was busy holidaying and shopping  :P I had been to Paris and did a lot of shopping there, do comment below and let me know if you all would want me to do a haul post on whatever I shopped.

Coming to the post, it is one of the lipsticks which I bought for my birthday. I had been wanting to try the very famous MAC 'Heroine', but was not sure if it would suit me. The first time when I had been to the store to buy it, I ended up not buying it because I felt it was looking greyish on me. But then it haunted me for days and finally I bought it for my birthday :) It is a very popular lipstick from MAC.

How To Wear a Mickey Mouse Shirt like an Adult

Yes, today's post is about a Mickey mouse t-shirt. Who doesn't love Mickey Mouse! :) I had fallen in love with him when I had met him in Disneyland, Paris <3 and let me tell you the feeling was mutual :D

But wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt after you are all grown up, can be a little tricky. Even I was among the ones who used to feel Mickey t-shirts or any other cartoon character clothing were only for the kids. If so, then why do they have it for the adults :P. But when I tried this cute mickey t-shirt on, I had instantly fallen in love with it, I thought it was really cute and did not make me look childish. It can be a very cute casual t-shirt. Later, through my research I realised Mickey mouse t-shirts are a trend in itself. How you carry it depends on you. So if you think you can carry a Mickey Mouse t shirt without looking like a schoolgirl then go for it ! :) Let me tell you how I decided to style it :)

Beat the heat in the Kimono

I am back with a new outfit post featuring the Kimono, which has been in trend this season.

Brussels has turned very hot this year and has got me hunting for comfortable clothing. A Kimono is a cardigan made up of very lightweight and flowy material which is apt for the summer heat.  Shorts and top by itself can be boring, make it more fun and colorful by adding a full patterned kimono.

Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip pencils

Today I am reviewing two lip pencils from the Maybelline Color Drama range. These are jumbo crayon lip pencils which can be used as lipstick. I always prefer lipsticks in the pencil form as they are easy to apply, you don't need a separate lip pencil/lip brush with them and they can be applied easily while travelling as well.

I picked up two shades from the range, 410 Fab Orange and 310 Berry Much.

When in doubt, wear Red

How is the week treating you ? :)

Let me give you some background on how I planned this outfit, before I start about the outfit itself. I had curled my hair on a day this week and there was no special occasion, I just felt like. I loved the way it turned out so I wanted to do an outfit post with the look. I could not make up my mind on what to wear to suit the look I had in mind. Then came the quote in picture " When in doubt, wear Red", so I wore red :D. Coming to the photos, we had used 2 different cameras for the shoot to suit the lighting on that day, but both the cameras captured a different color of the dress :(... So please bear with me if the dress color looks different in different photos. The dress is the same, the camera is the culprit here.

Now coming to the outfit, I chose to wear this beautiful red dress from Mango. This was my last year birthday dress which I had worn in Paris. But I could not get any good photos which I could use for an outfit post. So I decided to do a fresh outfit with the dress. I don't really have a lot of red and I wonder why!

Tassels and Fringes

I hope you had a great start to the week :) I know the rainy season has already started, but I had worn this outfit last weekend when it was still very hot here in Brussels.

In this post I am sharing with you an outfit having the latest trends for the summer season, Tassels and Fringes. I love tassels, but fringes I wasn't a fan earlier but I have started liking it recently.

Coming to the outfit, it is a simple combination of white top and blue jeans, but it's not common :)

Corals for Summer

This is yet another outfit which is perfect for the summers. It is an year old dress and I have worn it many times, but had not blogged about it yet, so here it makes to the blog this time :)

I really like this dress, the coral color and the high low selvette of it makes the dress a beautiful one to wear. The material is georgette and the length of the dress is perfect, with it's low front hem reaching my knees and the tail reaching my feet. It has a black layer underneath and the dual tones look wonderful. The dress is very flowy and I feel like a princess walking in it :)

Its all about accessories

I am very much excited about this outfit post, as it had not one, not two, but four items which I am absolutely in love with. Read on to get to know more :)

The location we selected for the shoot was mind blowing, it is no tourist spot or spot used for photography. It was an office premise and as it was a weekend it was closed and man, what amazing photos we got. The place was sooo windy, it was literally pushing us and it was a challenge shooting there. I wish I chose a more flowy dress for the day :D We clicked these photos on our way to the shopping street of Brussels, which is normally my weekend getaway if nothing else is planned for the day.

Coming to the outfit, it was all about the accessories this time, so I kept the outfit minimal. I chose to wear all black to keep the focus on the accessories and you all know how much I love black <3. I chose this simple button up shirt with micro sleeves and paired with black ripped jeans.

Three ways to use Scarves as Headbands

Here is something for your weekend !! A tutorial to use your favourite scarves as headbands. This is my first attempt at doing tutorials, so any comment on improvements is welcome. I have styled 3 different scarves to create 3 different headband looks.

This is a step by step tutorial with photos added wherever possible. Try to follow them and let me know if you were able to create the same looks :)

All the three headbands are very easy to create.

So let's start!! It is better if you have your hair tied in a ponytail while tying the headbands and later you can style it the way you want.

Summer Dress : Teal Deal

How are you enjoying the summers ? I know the people back in India must be hating the weather, but for the people in Europe it must be a welcome change from the chilly weather :) I see all the summery, colorful and stylish dresses coming out on the streets and it is a view to watch :)

I chose to wear this light summer dress the other day for a stroll around one of the famous parks of Brussels. This is not a new buy and has been in my closet for a while now. This dress is from the Zara collection, it is a beautiful teal color with plunging neckline and mesh detailing on the shoulders and the back. This dress is my very first purchase from Zara :) I bought this dress for its material and the beautiful color.

The dress is 100% polyester and is loose fitting. The material and the fitting of the dress makes it very comfortable to be worn in summer.
