Hi my beautiful friends,
Here is something for your weekend !! A tutorial to use your favourite scarves as headbands. This is my first attempt at doing tutorials, so any comment on improvements is welcome. I have styled 3 different scarves to create 3 different headband looks.
This is a step by step tutorial with photos added wherever possible. Try to follow them and let me know if you were able to create the same looks :)
All the three headbands are very easy to create.
So let's start!! It is better if you have your hair tied in a ponytail while tying the headbands and later you can style it the way you want.
1. Knotted headband
What you will need : Rectangle medium length scarf with lighter material.
Steps :
2. Simple headband
This one is the easiest.
What you will need : Small square scarf, any material
Steps :
3. Bow Headband (Minnie Mouse headband inspired )
What you will need : Medium length rectangular scarf with thick material.
Steps :
For all the above steps make sure you have equal length of scarf on both the ends.
I hope the steps are simple to follow, do try them out and let me know which one is your favourite. Share your comments :)

I have used this look in the outfit post here
2. Simple headband
This one is the easiest.
What you will need : Small square scarf, any material
Steps :
- Take a square scarf.
- Fold it in half as shown.
- Decide the width of the headband you need and fold it again.
- Repeat the folding until you get something like this.
- Bring the ends of the scarf behind the back of your head and tie a knot.
- Tie one more knot to secure it. That's it !!
- You can tuck in the loose ends of the scarf into the headband or leave it as it is.
3. Bow Headband (Minnie Mouse headband inspired )
What you will need : Medium length rectangular scarf with thick material.
Steps :
- Decide the width of the headband you need and fold the scarf as shown.
- Place the scarf on the head and bring the ends to the back.
- If your scarf is long, tie a knot at the back. This step is optional.
- Bring the ends of the scarf to the front and tie a knot.
- Tie one more knot to create a bow. Move the bow to the side.
- You can create a bigger bow, get it in the center to get the Minnie Mouse headband look :)
For all the above steps make sure you have equal length of scarf on both the ends.
I hope the steps are simple to follow, do try them out and let me know which one is your favourite. Share your comments :)
